Acupuncture For Heart Disease, Stroke and Diabetes

Acupuncture is an excellent answer to the biggest threat to us all poor lifestyle choices. This is because it reminds us of the way it feels to be true to the body, mind, and emotional reality that we call life. Following this, the body remembers health, and not only can disease be corrected without further complications, it can be avoided entirely.

It is well known that our health reflects our surroundings, but which comes first? Many philosophies suggest that our internal environment creates our external reality. If this is true, our society and our health reflect our beliefs and practices, not the other way around.

As many of us know, heart disease, stroke, and type II Diabetes are three of the biggest health issues that Americans face at this time. Most of us know these issues are lifestyle-related as well as genetically linked. As an overwhelmingly sedentary, mentally overactive, and improperly nourished society, we have nobody to blame but ourselves. Most Americans worry too much about things we cannot change and do too little about things we can change. Many would say national politics reflects the insanity that we have allowed to flourish in ourselves.

Coming from a holistic point of view, these things are quite obvious. When we consider that we are beings made of energy fields (most recently suggested by Einstein and Quantum physics), not hunks of dough wrapped around rods, protecting a bunch of sponges, we can only marvel at the folly of some of our beliefs. Yes, it matters whether we choose a donut or oatmeal and eggs, day after day. Yes, it also matters whether we choose to watch TV or to meditate, night after night. It is common sense. For those who choose healthy lifestyles, there is very little threat of type II Diabetes. Additionally, the fewer prescriptions we need, the smaller the risk of heart disease and/or stroke. The side effects from pharmaceuticals are frequently as dangerous as the diseases they attack.

It is important to remember that we are all going to die. It is infinitely more important to address how we live and how we will die than to worry about whether we will live or die. When we realize this, it becomes obvious that our day-to-day choices and beliefs are the most important things to examine and adjust.
