The Importance Of Body Wraps To Our Health
Some practitioners believe that body wraps can help the body relieve toxins that accumulate in our body’s cells and tissues. Toxins are chemicals that occur naturally or synthetically in the environment. Toxins can be classified as endotoxins or internal toxins. Internal toxins are produced inside the body by food breaking down in the large intestine and through metabolic processes in the cells.
Exotoxins, or external toxins, are either chemical or microbial (bacteria, fungi, or yeast) in nature. These toxins enter the body through contaminated water, food, and/or breathing in environmental pollution. The body is naturally designed to eliminate toxins through the organs of elimination, (which are the kidneys, the liver, colon, skin, and lungs) in the form of urine, feces, perspiration, and exhalation. The lymphatic system (a.k.a. the sewage system), also manages bodily wastes products.
With all this said, you may ask, “what does this have to do with me?” The problem is that sometimes the body does not readily eliminate these toxins for various reasons causing the toxins to accumulate making it necessary to take outside measures to reduce the toxic burden. It is believed by some practitioners that a toxic body can cause different levels of symptoms such as chronic fatigue syndrome, insomnia, sensitivity towards certain foods or chemicals, body odors, and different levels of skin problems, to name a few.
In addition, toxins fill our fat tissues, which may cause our circulatory and lymphatic systems to become overburdened with wastes. Thus, body wraps are used by some to detoxify the fat cells through external processes of detoxification using herbal or other ingredients in the wrap solution. What makes body wraps important is the fact that it is a quick direct method to purge the cells of accumulated exo- and endotoxins that clog our cells and cause different health challenges. When some people think of body wraps, they think of aesthetics, spa treatments, smoother looking skin, freedom from cellulite, and relaxation. However, beyond the aesthetics, the waste buildup is the major problem.
Toxins in the body should be eliminated before they can cause further harm, sometimes leading to the impairment of certain organs. Therefore, it is advisable to add body wraps to your health regimen alongside routine checkups to the physician to deal with any prevailing ailments. Thus, stay healthy by getting body wraps to pull out toxins.
