Fight Back Against Belly Fat
Beach season is upon us and we all want to look good in whatever we wear. Keeping the belly in check is a big part of that. What and how you eat can help. Also, the larger the belly the higher the risk of metabolic syndrome, which leads to heart attack and stroke.
Fiber Feeling full will always help you eat less, but more importantly is controlling your blood sugar. Fiber prevents sugar spikes, which means less insulin needed. So, less sugar is stored as fat.
Healthy Fats Nuts/avocados/olive oil, and mono-unsaturated fats. These have been known to prevent fatty deposition around the belly.
Whole Grains These have complex carbohydrates (sugars) versus simple carbohydrates. Simple sugars, such as sweets and beer, store around the belly.
Small changes can make a big difference in your health and longevity. Love what you eat.
