Peptide Therapy in Bangkok: What to Ask Before You Start
Written By Vincent Caradec, Co-Founder & CEO, Healthi Life

Every medicine and peptide discussed here is dispensed only after a medical consultation and on a physician’s prescription. This article is general information, not medical advice.
Peptides have gone from a niche topic in sports medicine to something people ask about at dinner. Search interest in Thailand keeps climbing, and so does the number of places offering them. Some of those places are medical. Some are a website and a courier.
That gap is the reason for this article.
What a peptide is
A peptide is a short chain of amino acids. Your body makes thousands of them, and many act as signals: they tell tissue to repair, tell the pancreas to release insulin, or tell the brain you’re full. Therapeutic peptides copy or adjust some of those signals.
A few are approved medicines with large clinical trials behind them. Others are still being studied. And some are sold online with almost no evidence at all. Lumping them together as “peptides” hides the difference, and the difference is what matters for your safety.
Five questions that sort a medical service from a shop
1. Who sees you before anything is prescribed? A physician should take your history, examine you and order blood work first. If you can pick a peptide from a menu and pay at checkout, you’re in a shop.
2. What gets tested? Depending on the treatment being considered, your medical history, and your goals, a physician may recommend baseline testing such as metabolic markers, kidney and liver function, a lipid panel, or relevant hormones. A starting point can help the physician evaluate changes over time.
3. Is the product traceable? Ask where it comes from and how it’s stored. Many peptides need refrigeration. A reputable provider will tell you the source and won’t be offended by the question.
4. What does follow-up look like? At our house, guests see a physician again within 30 to 90 days, then quarterly, with repeat blood work. If nobody plans to check on you after the first injection, nobody is managing the risk.
5. Are the claims reasonable? Be wary of promised results, fixed timelines, or before-and-after photos used as proof. Published trial results exist for some approved medicines, and a good physician will walk you through them, including the side effects and who shouldn’t take them.
Reminder: any peptide mentioned in a consultation is dispensed only after that consultation and on a physician’s prescription.
Is it legal in Thailand?

People ask this a lot. In Thailand, the legal status depends on the specific medicine and whether it is registered or otherwise authorized for use. Approved prescription medicines may be prescribed by licensed physicians, but a prescription does not by itself make an unregistered peptide drug legally approved for sale. Buying products from unlicensed sellers also creates additional concerns about their source and contents. Check that the facility has a licence number, that the prescribing physician is licensed by the Thai Medical Council, and ask about the regulatory status of the specific medicine being offered.
Where peptides fit in a bigger plan
Peptides rarely work as a standalone fix. In our programs they sit inside a wider plan built from blood work, sleep, nutrition and training, and they’re reviewed at every follow-up. Sometimes the right answer after testing is that you don’t need one at all.
If you want to see how a physician-led program is structured, including published prices, our page on peptide therapy in Bangkok sets it out.
