Luxe Rehab is proud to welcome Dr. Lakshmi Mahendran, a distinguished physical therapist with nearly 20 years of clinical, administrative, and rehabilitation leadership experience. Licensed in Virginia and Maryland, Dr. Lakshmi has built an exceptional career across government hospitals, high-volume outpatient orthopedic clinics, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and geriatric rehabilitation programs.

Recognized for her clinical expertise, compassionate care, and patient-centered approach, Dr. Lakshmi is dedicated to helping individuals restore movement, relieve pain, regain independence, and return to the activities they enjoy through personalized, evidence-based rehabilitation.

Prior to joining Luxe Rehab, Dr. Lakshmi served as Chief Physical Therapist and Medical Director in a major government hospital in India, leading multidisciplinary rehabilitation services across orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, trauma, and post-surgical populations. In the United States, she revitalized outpatient clinics as a Clinic Director — earning consistent 5-star patient satisfaction and outstanding clinical outcomes — and most recently provided executive leadership as a Director of Rehabilitation across multiple facilities, mentoring clinicians and advancing evidence-based programs of care.
