Improve Your Golf Game With Chiropractic
Every spring, people wonder how they can improve their golf game for the season. Professional and amateur golfers turn to chiropractic care for maintaining health on and off the course and achieving the best possible performance. Stretching is just as important for golf as it is for any other activity. Make sure to stretch out lightly before and after the game. This will help your flexibility, which will in turn help your game and also help you to avoid injury.
Learn proper technique. Invest in lessons. Learning proper technique is critical to not only your score, but your health as well.
Don't carry your bag. Caddy or pull instead of carrying your golf bag. The average golf bag with clubs weighs 35 lbs. and carrying your bag 18 holes can be hard on your back!
Recovery Techniques after a round of golf. Recovery techniques help reduce inflammation, restore normative motor control and repair muscle and joint damage sustained during the round. Effective recovery techniques include hot and cold therapy, massage, nutritional support, sleep, and stretching.
Don't ignore the pain. The back pain experienced by many golfers is merely a warning sign of an underlying problem. It may be an overuse injury or a repetitive injury, but if it's not treated it will only continue to get worse.
