Dr. Elizabeth Shin is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist with more than 20 years of experience. She is the founder and president of BCC Pediatric Dentistry in Bethesda, Maryland. She is a highly respected dentist who has been recognized by her peers as a Washingtonian Top Pediatric Dentist and a Bethesda Magazine Top Pediatric Dentist.
Dr. Shin has a diverse range of experience in pediatric dentistry. She has served as an Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC), practiced pediatric dentistry at a Native American Reservation in Montana, and served as an active-duty military officer and pediatric dentist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC. She was also the first Korean-American female to hold the position as the division head of the Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic Dental Clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Shin is a fun and engaging person with a passion for children. She was born in Busan, Korea, and moved to Brazil when she was two years old. She left Brazil to come to the U.S. and go to the University of Southern California Dental School, where she graduated as her class Salutatorian. She is fluent in Portuguese and Korean, and her favorite color is pink. She loves to play Candy Crush on her phone, read, scuba dive, water ski, and just relax.
Dr. Shin is a wonderful dentist who loves children and is dedicated to providing them with the best possible care. She is a valuable asset to the BCC Pediatric Dentistry team, and her patients are lucky to have her.
