Akram Sannaa, DMD

Dr. Akram Sannaa began his dental career at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, following early work in public health research at Harvard. His dedication to advancing oral health has earned him honors such as the International College of Dentists Leadership Award and the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine High Achievement Award.

Dr. Sannaa practices a multi-specialty approach, with expertise in root canals, implant dentistry, smile makeovers, sleep appliances, and Invisalign—earning him a reputation as the “Invisalign maestro.” Known for his warm, calming presence, he excels at treating anxious patients.

As the leader of Chevy Chase Dental Center and 1 Bethesda Dental Center, Dr. Sannaa provides high-end dentistry rooted in the values of family care. He is recognized as a celebrity dentist in Washington, D.C., treating congressmen, ambassadors, and media personalities, and is especially skilled in senior care, having launched the Senior Dentistry Program of 2025.

The name “Sannaa,” meaning “The Makers,” reflects his family’s heritage in olive oil production—a legacy of quality and craftsmanship that he brings to his work. Outside the office, Dr. Sannaa enjoys hiking, camping, culinary exploration, and time with loved ones.
