Most people reach out to us when they are exhausted and running out of patience. They have usually tried the sprays, creams, essential oils and powders. They have tried professional exterminators, and maybe even tossed their furniture in the trash, but the bites just keep coming. It is a lonely, frustrating place to be, wondering if anyone understands the problem, or the science of what is happening in your home.

My path to solving these problems started on the manufacturing side. In 2003, we began a wholesale business making sleep and comfort products, designing mattress toppers and pillows, with specialty fibers to dissipate static electricity. We were looking at how the tension from built-up static, sometimes up to 30,000 volts, disrupts sleep quality. To ensure we were using the most rigorous science, we sought advice from leading experts like Dr. Chris Idzikowski, BSc, PhD, FBPsS, who serves as the Director of the Sleep Assessment and Advisory Service, and the Edinburgh Sleep Centre. His expertise, as a pioneer in sleep research, helped us to understand the environmental factors that truly matter for a restful night’s sleep.

By 2005, we launched BeyondBeds.com to sell directly to the public, because I realized there was a massive gap in the retail industry. Salespeople were not taking the time to learn, or to be able to explain and articulate clearly what set our innovative products apart, customers were left unaware. Beyond our own products, we searched for the most innovative sleep enhancing products from other manufacturers, such as the water-cooled mattress pad we began retailing in 2008 that used semiconductor technology to help people adjust their sleep temperature resulting in a cool and restful night’s sleep.

Then, in 2007, things got personal. I dealt with a bed bug infestation in New York City. I did not want to use toxic chemicals, which led me to a natural enzyme product. I called the owner of the company, followed his protocol, and within two weeks, the bed bugs were gone. That experience changed everything. I realized there were countless others like me, people who wanted a solution that worked, without turning their home into a toxic hazard zone. Since I was already running a specialty sleep online retail business, I teamed up with that owner, to bring his natural enzyme product to our customers. For 11 years, I coached people through their own battles with bed bugs and other infestations, until that product, unexpectedly became unavailable due to the owner retiring.

He pointed me toward another enzyme formula that handled not just bed bugs, but bird and rodent mites as well. Within weeks of offering it, the phone started ringing off the hook. For the next 8 years, I spoke to hundreds of people whose lives had been turned upside down by these infestations. We became the “go-to” resource, helping people find their way back to their normal life. I heard from folks who have spent more than they care to admit, on professional exterminators, and so called fast acting sprays, just wanting to get a good night’s sleep. I focus on natural enzymes because, frankly, the usual quick fixes rarely work.

In late 2024, the landscape shifted again, when that product became unavailable to us. I hated having to tell repeat customers “Sorry, I can’t help you anymore”. So we decided to take matters into our own hands and create our own brand. We worked with some of the top enzymologists in the country, who consulted with leading entomologists to create our own formulation based on everything I have learned over the years about what works best.

We wanted the enzyme formulation to be more concentrated, more cost-effective, and, most importantly, more powerful. We sent test samples to our long-time customers, and the feedback was incredible. They preferred it over what they had been using. We named it Eradizyme, derived from two words, eradicate and enzyme, and launched it along with its own brand Website, Eradizyme.com.
