Did You Know That You Can Access Home Health Care At Any Age?

Most people think that home healthcare services are only beneficial to seniors. Although the older population utilizes a majority of the home health services rendered, younger patients can benefit equally in the use of homecare.

Eligibility Authorized through your primary care physician. As hospital stay times get shorter and shorter, the number of patients who need to recover at home continues to rise and many with a longer duration.

Condition Any condition that renders you homebound (age, disease and disability)There are a variety of conditions and surgical procedures that may require homecare services which would be conducive to a healthy recovery for younger homebound patients.

Some examples where younger patients may benefit from homecare include orthopedic surgery to repair damaged limbs as a result of an accident or sports injury, complications in pre-natal care of post-partum cesarean wound treatments, debilitating conditions from multiple sclerosis or muscular dystrophy, complications after a hysterectomy, some cancer treatments, and infusion therapies.
