What Is Far Infrared Technology And, How Can It Help Me?

Far infrared ray (FIR) energy is a part of the natural light spectrum of sunlight. It cannot be seen, but can be felt as heat. When warmed, the earth radiates infrared rays in the 7-14 micron band with its peak output at 10 microns. The deep penetrating radiant heat of FIR is completely safe, essential and beneficial to all living things.

When the rays penetrate through the skin to the subcutaneous tissues, they transform from light energy into heat energy. The thermal effect promotes better blood circulation, which helps carry nutrients to the skin, thus promoting a healthy tone, texture provides a mild cleansing of the skin. The heat produced also helps to get rid of body toxins.

Thermal acupressure massage therapy with FIR energy relaxes muscles around the spine relieving pressure on the spinal cord, improving blood circulation and restoring the body. The massage bed uses roller projectors that move along the spine, customized according to the length and curvature of the spine. It combines technology with moxibustion and pressure to massage and soothe the body’s “distress signals”, such as pain and stress.

The projectors in the massage bed are covered with jade, which is a semiprecious stone valued for its ability to hold and transmit heat. While the pressure from the jade rollers knead and relax, moxibustion directs heat to every part of the body.

FIR heat therapy can also aid in weight loss by speeding metabolic processes of vital organs and endocrine glands resulting in caloric loss. It also increases heart rate as more blood flow is diverted from the inner organs toward the extremities of the skin without raising blood pressure.

The increased blood flow helps aching and injured muscles recover faster through stronger blood flow and quicker metabolic and toxic waste productions purged from the body through the skin. It can also reduce the level of acidity in the body and relax the nervous system.

Massage relaxes muscles and tendons around the spine, relieving pressure on the spinal cord, unblocking nerves, and adjusting the spine. Massaging also stretches the spine to release pressure from the gel-like discs that act as cushions between the vertebrae, which are the bones that comprise the spinal column.
