New Doctors

Doctors are now using more holistic approaches to healing the mind and body. It has been said that God (Universe) has put everything on this earth to heal the body and mind naturally.

Today foods are enhanced with coloring agents to make them greener, and meats and fish are enhanced to make them bigger and more colorful.

Could the fast pace of the modern lifestyle be making us sick?

Our jobs, foods and lifestyle may be making us mentally and physically sick. Our jobs may be the cause of mental or physical health issues. If you are paid well, you can afford to buy a big house, big car and designer clothes. So, we look good, but we don't feel so good. Because we don't know why we feel bad we go out and buy more stuff or drugs, alcohol, or foods to make us feel better, to find that that none of those things actually help.

You look in the mirror and realize you don't look the way you thought you would in your designer clothes, because now you can afford shrimp, lobster, steaks, and so on. You decide you need to lose weight, so you join the gym, but you don't go. So, now you really feel bad.

You can't sleep, you're constipated and have a lot of bloating, so now you are depressed. Your back hurts, your knees hurt, your head hurts, not to mention your allergies. You are miserable.

You go to the doctor. Chances are there is a pill recommended for whatever ails you. But, mentally you are in the same state. Mentally these are habits you acquired throughout the years. These habits have become normal to you. You think because diabetes, anxiety, or stress runs in your family that this is the way it is. That is the wrong answer.

When you become conscious of your food habits, work ethics, and lifestyle you begin to make changes in your life.

The “new doctor”, may it be an herbalist, ayurveda practitioner, reflexologist, acupuncturist, yoga instructor, church, meditation, working out at the gym (for real) or any naturopath modality that will be able to help you come back to your real self. Where are you? Maybe you are hiding behind all the false hair, nails, and designer stuff. Eat fresh and whole. Cut out the foods that are killing you. You can do it.

Namaste.
