Life Sculpt and Lift

With the advancement of medical technology, there are many options to address the loose, sagging skin on the face, jaw line, or neck. Many people do not have the downtime or do not want the risks associated with going under the knife with the traditional facelifts.

There are those of us that also want more of a natural improvement in our face and do not want those around us, such as coworkers, family, and friends, to know what has been done.

Of the new crop of skin tightening procedures, laser liposuction is an excellent choice for those that have sagging jowls and fat underneath the neck and chin. Patients looking to losing the extra fat can have the fat removed effectively and safely around the jaw line to help sculpt a nice sharp jaw line.

Traditional liposuction cannot be used effectively to treat small and delicate areas, such as the neck or chin. However, the flexible, thin wand of the laser can be used to accomplish a defined look. The laser also heats the deeper layer of the skin (the dermis) in order to affect a “heating response.” The heating response encourages increased collagen production and remodeling of the existing collagen. Supportive underlying tissues of the skin contract, resulting in tighter more uplifted appearance of the skin.

A liquid lift uses Restylane, Radiesse, or Juvederm dermal fillers to help achieve a lift on the face and to plump up the skin. The liquid lift can address fine lines, volume loss, nasal labial folds (laugh lines), lines around the lips, and the hollows underneath the eyes. The filler is injected right underneath the skin, which can help turn back years on the face, and there is minimal downtime with this procedure.

The fractional CO2 laser is the “gold standard” in lasers for photo rejuvenation and skin tightening. The fractional CO2 is an ablative laser that delivers powerful results without prolonged downtime. Laser resurfacing uses beams of light to bore tine holes in the skin, which works to put the body's natural collagen production on fast-forward. The fractional CO2 is a great treatment for patients looking to address fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and above and below the lips, acne scars, large pores, and sun damage.

When the above treatments are done together, they help in taking years of sun damage, loose skin, and aging away from the face and the neck.
