Am I a Candidate For MicroLaserPeel®?

Is your skin looking dull and lackluster with some blemishes and fine lines? Are you seeking better results than with microdermabrasion or chemical peels alone?
MicroLaserPeel is the next level of aggressiveness in the continuum of treatments to improve your skin tone, texture and color. Hyperpigmentation and blemishes are cleared, fine lines and wrinkles are softened, and a fresh-faced glow appears. It takes as little as 5 to 30 minutes, and can be done over your lunch break. If these benefits suit your goals, you may be a great candidate for MicroLaserPeel.
When considering a MicroLaserPeel, it's important to understand the wide variety of treatment intensity and downtime you can choose from. A MicroLaserPeel can range in intensity from 8 to hundreds of microns. At the 8-micron low intensity level, this procedure is often referred to as the “weekend peel”, because downtime is 24-72 hours. Results and downtime are more similar to what you experience from a chemical peel. Thus, you are more likely to want to do a series of treatments at this intensity level depending on your desired results.
The Science of MicroLaserPeel
The MicroLaserPeel laser beam scans your desired treatment area to precisely ablate (i.e., vaporize) a very thin layer of skin, as it removes old, damaged tissue. This eliminates some of the old cells that make skin look tired and aged.
As your skin heals, fresh skin cells grow to resurface the treated area. The result is healthier-looking skin, often with reduced wrinkles and more even color.
MicroLaserPeel For
Light Resurfacing
Superficial skin resurfacing is a quick, safe and effective treatment. Most patients compare it to microdermabrasion at 2-5 times the strength and intensity.
Popular treatment areas are face and neck, though some people also treat the chest and backs of hands. MicroLaserPeel effectively treats
Mild wrinkles
Scars
Keratosis (i.e., “goose bumps”)
Sun damage (i.e., brown spots)
Other pigment irregularities
Prepare For MicroLaserPeel
Plan your calendar for recovery time as you may want to be out of sight for a couple of days. We also recommend purchasing a Post Laser Healing Kit to soothe or protect your skin in the immediate days of healing.
Your clinician cleanses your skin areas to be treated and applies topical numbing cream. A cooling air blast blown directly on the areas being treated throughout the procedure serves as further anesthetic to soothe and cool the skin.
Your eyes are protected with safety shields. The doctor then positions the laser hand piece above your skin and holds it in place as the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area.
There is minimal pain or discomfort and treatment usually lasts 5-30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated and the depth of the treatment.
When do I see results?
You will see obvious improvements in tone, texture, and color evenness as soon as your skin heals. Typically, this is within 3-4 days.
Results from a single MicroLaserPeel are significant, but many patients schedule a series of these procedures monthly to obtain the best results.
