Do You Like Your Smile?

It’s 2020 and it has never been a better time to achieve the healthy, beautiful smile you deserve and want. Due to advances in dental materials and techniques we now have strong, natural looking dental materials such as porcelain crowns and tooth colored fillings that we can utilize to help rejuvenate and restore your teeth back to health and function.

In our experience there are patients who do not realize that over time their teeth will wear and become damaged from normal daily use. On top of that normal daily use and wear we see many patients who do additional damage to their teeth by nightly or even daily grinding and clenching which further breaks down the normal structure of the teeth and negatively impacts their overall ability to chew and bite effectively.

There are also other components that reduce the life of the teeth such as a patient’s diet and home care as well as routine six-month cleaning and checkup appointments with a dentist. It’s 2020 but yet we still see many who neglect the importance of their dental health, and only see the dentist when they feel that they have a dental problem. In most of these cases by the time the patient “feels” that a dental problem exists in their mouth, it is too late for us to do anything for that tooth other than to extract it, leading to premature loss of teeth due to patient negligence.

There is also no denying the fact that scientific research has found there is strong evidence that there is a definite mouth health, body health connection and that the health of your mouth or the lack thereof can effect your body. Loss of teeth due to neglect of timely treatment of your teeth and gums by a dentist can have a great impact on the quality of your life. We use our teeth for many important daily functions such as eating, smiling, chewing and speaking.

We believe we can help our patients keep their teeth and mouth healthy for life, through a partnership with our patients where both parties are committed to the achievement and maintenance of the patient’s oral health. This means routine dental cleanings and exams at least every six months and timely treatment of any dental problem on a routine basis before the problem worsens leading to more aggressive and costly treatment.
