Bellafill – The 5 Year Filler
Bellafill® (formerly known as Artefill) is an injectable wrinkle filler that provides long lasting wrinkle correction. The body absorbs other fillers and requires frequent repeat injections to maintain the results. Bellafill’s unique microspheres are not absorbed by the body and provide the support your skin needs for normal, long lasting result. It replaces lost volume in the skin below the wrinkle for results that are immediate and lasting.
In consumer surveys, Bellafill scored extremely high for patient satisfaction. Also in 2013, there were more than 2.2 million injectable filler procedures, which makes it the second most popular nonsurgical cosmetic procedure, and the fastest growing.
What Makes Bellafill Work?
Bellafill is use in two ways. The first is that collagen provides immediate volume below facial wrinkles known as smile lines to lift them to the level of surrounding skin.
The second way is polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) microspheres create a matrix that supports your body’s own collagen production. Bellafill is made up of 80% purified collagen and 20% PMMA microspheres. These microspheres are extremely small, and are not visible to the eye. So, adding volume of collagen reduces the wrinkles. Thus, your skin looks healthy and smooth.
Can Bellafill Be Used
For Acne Scarring?
Yes. In fact it is one of the best injectables to use when it comes to acne scarring because It is more long-lasting than other fillers. A lot of the times acne tends to leave scars which last a very long time. Bellafill is also the first, and only, FDA-approved injectable filler to specifically treat acne scars. It is also helpful for severe atrophic scars on the cheeks. Bellafill uses a combination of PMMA microspheres and bovine collagen gel to immediately reduce the look of scars and create a lasting improvement.
