Dr. Marwa Hamidi was born in California and raised in the DMV. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Virginia and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.
She then received further training at the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC where she treated our nation’s military veterans. Her residency training enabled her to treat patients with varying complex medical conditions and in all areas of dentistry from surgical to cosmetic to pain relief.
She was President of the Women’s Dental Association at VCU and is a member of Northern Virginia Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association and American Dental Association.
Dr. Hamidi’s passion for dentistry was sparked by a desire to heal. When Dr. Hamidi was in undergrad, she volunteered at the Mission of Mercy free clinic in southern Virginia where she met patients from varying backgrounds who were so grateful for the pain relief. She was excited to educate and help make dental care more accessible for everyone. Dr. Hamidi is Invisalign certified and experienced in all phases of dentistry. She particularly enjoys making patients proud of their smile and happy to show it off. Dr. Hamidi is fluent in Pashto and knows a little Spanish as well. She enjoys live music shows, hiking, and competing for the best aunt award.
