I believe that by mastering our past we have the power to change our future. I use integrative approaches to assist clients with identifying their strengths and overcoming barriers that may impede their happiness and emotional well being. I firmly believe that if we change our thoughts we can change our lives. My goal is to assist you through the process towards lasting change.
I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and my Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University . I utilize Cognitive-Behavior Therapy to bring about self-awareness and change through exploring thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behavior patterns to bring about personal growth and insight . My areas of focus includes: Anxiety, Depression, Grief/Loss, Relationship Issues, Life Changes, Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse/Assault, PTSD, and Adjustment Disorders.
My office is located at 1050 Connecticut Ave., NW, Suite #500 inside the Washington Square Building, which has direct access from the Farragut North Metro station. I am located one block from the Farragut West Metro station and centrally located near Capitol Hill, Judiciary Square, Dupont Circle, Metro Center, and Gallery Place.
