Dr. Acia Williams has been in the hair industry for over 25 years. She has been a Master Educator since 2003 preparing future cosmetologist and barber stylist to successfully obtain required credits in theory study and practical service for the State Board Examination. She is the CEO-OWNER of A New Image by Acia, Hair Loss Rejuvenation Clinic ©, and The Image and Grooming Professionals Institute. She served on The DC State Board of Cosmetology & Barbering as a State Board Examiner (Proctor) for 3 years. Her inspiration for versatile styling comes from her creative gift in the Vocal Arts. She attended Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts in Washington, DC studying Vocal Classical Music. This experience enhanced her attention to detail work with an experienced eye. She studied cosmetology at Bennett Career Institute and obtained both Cosmetology and Instructor Certifications. She is a Certified Pravana Color Specialist. She acquired useful techniques from attending Paul Mitchell, Clariol and Farouke classes and is affiliated with the National Beauty Cultural League (NBCL) Active Member of Washington, DC Chapter also an active Board Member of The National Beauty Culturist League and Active Staff of The Institute of Cosmetology (IOC). She attended the Institute of Cosmetology (IOC) where she has obtained her Bachelor Degree, Master I & II Degree, Doctorate Degree, and Post Doctorate Degree in the Professional Science and Art of Cosmetology.

A master of her craft, she keeps up with continued education, the latest techniques and hair trends as they appear on the fashion scene. With her impeccable attention to detail she enjoys working with clients to come up with a suitable style for their individualized need. Her precision cutting skills also add to her creativity when styling hair. She is constantly working on her own innovative techniques pushing the boundaries of hair. Driven with a passion for collaboration she enjoys pushing the envelope and putting her innovative talents toward achieving a vision. She is accustomed to multi-cultural hair, multiple weaving techniques, and various styles, have contributed her being a three-time award winner for best weaving. Creativity and passion for healthy hair keeps motivating her to continue gaining knowledge to bring to her clients and co-workers. She is commented to keeping her clients to that look they desire. With expertise, creativity and experience she does just that; No matter what hair type!
