Dipa J. Patel, DDS is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon serving patients in Arlington, VA and Washington, DC. A proud DC-area native, Dr. Patel was raised in Manassas, VA and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. Initially drawn to dentistry through her love of art and precision, she ultimately found her passion in the high-pressure world of oral surgery. Dr. Patel completed her Surgical Residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Northport VA, and Stony Brook, where she trained extensively in dentoalveolar and implant procedures.

Today, Dr. Patel is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach—particularly for those with dental anxiety. Her practice incorporates innovative, non-opiate pain management options like Exparel^® and even features occasional pet therapy visits from her parrot, Kiko. Outside of work, Dr. Patel is an avid skier and triathlete, and a novice golfer. She has completed multiple Ironman and half Ironman distance triathlons.

Dr. Patel believes it is vital to keep her practice I independently owned where she is the solo doctor and is not owned by private equity investment. She participates in state and national lobbying on behalf of dentists and oral surgeons, and volunteers her time as a delegate to the Virginia Dental Association and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons . She is also past president of the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
