Inflammation and Disease Connection
Disease of the heart, joints, lungs, brain, kidneys, nerves, skin and other organs all have a common symptom – chronic inflammation. This may indicate conditions that are interrelated and why one diagnosis places you at much higher risk for other types of disease.
Inflammatory response is usually a natural and healthy mechanism of the immune system. Acute inflammatory response is a way to fire at and ward off disease and infection and to fuel cellular regeneration.
As important as this natural response can be, it is equally as dangerous when the fire can’t be put out yielding completely opposite results.
In some cases, inflammation is a result of a misguided immune system, which causes the body systems that normally protect you to end up attacking the body’s tissues instead.
Inflammation can double and even quadruple your risk for heart disease, stroke, cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. It is present in arthritis, joint disease, diabetes, autoimmune, chronic and systemic disease, bowel and intestinal diseases, heart, kidney, lung, liver, skin disorders, brain disorders and cancer.
When chronic inflammation is present the systems can’t communicate and disease is inevitable.
Some causes of these inflammatory responses are: stress, environmental toxins, food toxins, some drugs, hormone imbalances in men and women and injuries of many types.
Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI), also referred to as thermography, can give you a scan of your whole body which shows areas of increased heat which may be the presence of abnormal inflammation. Although there are hot spots throughout the body, and most are not the indication of disease, abnormal hot spots can reveal the presence of disease in its early stages.
These hot spots can be evaluated by other diagnostic tests and monitored over time to see if they evolve into something more serious, or perhaps go away on there own. A “baseline” thermography can give you something to base future scans on to see if anything has
There is only so much you can avoid from the daily barrage of toxins we encounter, but there are supplements and lifestyle changes that can make a huge difference such as: eating a balanced diet, drinking enough healthy water daily, eliminating alcohol and tobacco, reducing stress and maintaining a healthy weight.
You are in control of your health maintenance, so you should learn as much as you can about it and seek out the professionals that can help you reach your health and wellness goals.
