Mini Dental Implants For Missing Teeth

We lose teeth for a number of reasons disease, injury, or simple daily wear as we age. Missing teeth can have a negative impact on both one's health and appearance. They can affect the way the rest of your teeth bite together and can cause other teeth to tilt and drift, creating gaps that allow food to get trapped, thus increasing your risk of tooth decay and gum disease. Missing teeth can also bring about unwanted changes in facial appearance.

Despite the many options available from dentures, partials and bridges, to implants many people never replace their missing teeth. They get used to the way their mouth looks and feels. Or, they worry about the costs, time, inconvenience, discomfort and long recovery periods.

With mini dental implants those who are missing one, two or several teeth no longer have to accept a lifetime of embarrassment and inconvenience. Using a simple, gentle, non-surgical technique, missing teeth can be replaced in just two short visits, without the need to grind down healthy enamel, at half the cost of conventional implants, with little discomfort and far less healing time.

What are mini dental implants?

Essentially, they are a smaller, more lightweight version of a conventional implant that can be placed non-surgically in the patient's mouth to secure a removable denture or anchor a permanent crown that is replacing a missing tooth.

The mini dental implant system consists of a miniature titanium implant that acts like the root of your tooth. The head of the implant is shaped like a ball and, once placed, protrudes from the gum. This head provides the strong, solid foundation on which your permanent crown is cemented or your denture is “snapped” or secured (without the use of creams and pastes).

Why should you consider mini implants?

Like conventional implants, mini implants preserve bone and, therefore, maintain the structure, appearance and function of your face and mouth. And, like other implants, they can be used for everything from single tooth replacement to full mouth restoration. However, unlike conventional implants, mini dental implants can also be used for those patients who cannot withstand the rigors of conventional implant surgery, do not have enough bone to allow for full-sized implants, have a small jawbone or are slow to heal like diabetics.

Mini dental implants offer a comfortable, permanent solution for missing teeth and a simple way to restore your health, your smile, and your confidence.
