Don’t Let Them (Bacteria) Take Your Breath Away
If you have a bad breath problem, you are not alone. Research has shown that chronic bad breath affects about 65 million people in the United States daily. This continuous smell of rotten eggs, feces (yes, the smell of poop), or dirty socks coming from the mouth of chronic halitosis sufferers interferes with lives in a damaging way.
The impact of halitosis on the lives of people is devastating. People routinely talk of ruined marriages, lost friends, weddings called off, and just about every social problem you can imagine. But they all carry a common theme – bad breath robs people of their self-confidence, their friends, and for some, their lives.
But this no longer needs to occur. Mouthwash, toothpaste, a tongue scraper or brush, will help you maintain your dental hygiene, but once you have chronic halitosis, there are no products, tools, tongue scrapers, or medications that can eliminate it. At best, they might control or cover it up for a time, but all need constant repetition.
Why? Because the bacteria that cause halitosis live deep within the biofilm (coating) that adheres to the top of the tongue surface. And by definition, a biofilm can only be removed by mechanical means (it grabs on to living tissue), assuming you can get to it. (Note the accompanying photo that shows where bacteria can hide – in the nooks and crannies of the taste buds deep within the tongue.)
But to make it even more insidious, these bacteria live without air, so they can produce their waste products (odors of bad breath) – no matter how much you clean.
Research is clear on many things about halitosis. We know that bacteria cause the odors of bad breath. We also know that they live in the depths of the biofilm (coating) on the tongue and under the gums. And we also know that no matter what we spray on then, rinse them with, or scrape the top layers with, they continue to flourish, getting thicker and thicker. The key is total removal of the biofilm and preventing its return.
NO BIOFILM = NO ODOR
The bacteria and odors are coming from within the biofilm (see photo). Over the counter tools and treatments cannot penetrate deep enough into the biofilm and thus, are unable to reach the millions of bacteria that are causing the problem.
That’s why Tongue Rejuvenation® was invented – the only process that eliminates all the biofilm, returns the tongue to health, and eliminates the bacteria causing bad breath. Using a common technology in dentistry along with new halitosis elimination instruments, biofilm can now be eliminated and bad breath cured in as little as 2-3 visits.
So, don’t let bacteria take your breath away and replace it with odor. If mouthwashes, toothpastes, tongue cleaning or other techniques don’t last, remove the bacteria and odor at their source with Tongue Rejuvenation.
