Overcome Your Fear With Hypnosis

Did you know that 90% of Americans suffer from a fear that stops them from participating in day-to-day activities? Living in a constant state of fear is no way to live, for anyone. Where do these fears come from and how can we overcome them?

There are a variety of factors that can be responsible for your fear and it's not necessary that you know the origin in order to release it. Following are several possible causes

  • Fear can be contagious. Maybe you grew up with a mom who had a fear of water, you became attuned to the fear, and developed your own fear of water.
  • Fear can be related to an emotional, traumatic incident from your past one that you can recall or even one that you've repressed.
  • Fear can be the result of severe stress, and can develop into a fear of fear.
  • Fear, according to some theories, may be related to an evolutionary imprint on the brain, or to the predominant mood state of the mother during pregnancy.

When a fear becomes a phobia, which simply means the fear becomes so debilitating that a person starts avoiding any situation that could trigger it, the recommended course of treatment is usually antianxiety or antidepressant medications, or therapy sessions that include the likes of cognitive behavioral therapy or exposure therapies.

One of the most powerful treatment options for fears and phobias is hypnotherapy. The reason under hypnosis, the therapist helps the subconscious mind release the irrational, fearful thoughts, and in a sense helps the client reprogram their subconscious, reducing and eventually eliminating the fear or phobia, typically in a series of 2-4 sessions.

There are four types of phobias natural, animal, injury, and situational. Whether your fear is of snakes, flying, or water, these can all be fixed with hypnotherapy, as it desensitizes your subconscious to the trigger and teaches you how to relax on command. Hypnotherapy instills the sense of control back into your life.

By practicing self-hypnosis when you are feeling fine, you can train yourself to control and manipulate your thoughts objectively and in any situation. Once you have learned how to use hypnosis to manipulate your thoughts and feelings when you feel well and are not experiencing fear, you will be more successful at controlling your thoughts in a fear/phobic situation as well.

You can reclaim your life and begin feeling better about yourself, with the use of hypnosis.
