Your Youth, Your Vigor, and Your Best Self Three Solid Legs to Stand On
Release the Wrinkles
Your facial expressions may be telling a story that is not true. Has anyone told you that you look tired, worried, or angry? Lines between the eyebrows may give the appearance of scowling. Why look angry when you are not?
Just as in women, the eyes are one of the first facial regions to give away a man’s true age. Botox is an easy, quick way to smooth out the frown lines between the eyebrows and the forehead ripples.
Release the wrinkles and relax with a little Botox (AKA “Bro-Tox” for the guys). Bro-Tox accounts for more than 40% of all aesthetic procedures done in men. High five to the gentlemen for wanting to look their best too. Say good-bye “Angry Resting Face” in 10 minutes and take five years off of your age.
Fill the Folds
Wrinkles and folds are a dead give-away that one’s youth is fading, but an aging face also tends to lose the fullness (fat) associated with a younger face. Weight loss will also cause someone to lose youthful facial fat. Fillers such as Restylane and Voluma are used to bring flattened or deflated cheeks back to life and contour the jawline.
Fillers also erase laugh lines and smooth out the dark circles under the eyes (the tear trough deformities) that make you look tired.
As we age, naturally downturned lips can cause a person to look like they’re frowning. Fillers bring your lips back to the fullness you enjoyed in your 20s. Filler results are immediate and they keep getting better over time. Fillers can take 5-10 years off your face in just 20 minutes. Fillers are also used to square off the jawline in men, build out the chin and reduce jowls, giving men a stronger, more confident look.
Tighten and Lift
As we age, our skin will begin to sag. There was a time when the only choice men and women had was a surgical facelift involving a noticeable scar, a high price tag, and recovery downtime.
These surgical lifting procedures still did not address building
collagen to firm the skin. No one can completely stop aging, we just turn the clock back. For those who want a non-surgical lift and tightening solution, there are collagen-building procedures such as microneedling and Ultherapy.
Microneedling involves using a handheld pen with tiny rotating needles to create microscopic holes in the deeper layers of the skin.
This creates very controlled wounding, which stimulates collagen and elastin production as the skin repairs itself. This tightens and rejuvenates the skin.
Ultherapy is a revolutionary procedure known as the knife-less facelift. It also lifts the brow, and tightens the neck and chest using ultrasound therapy to deliver its collagen-boosting heat.
It incorporates traditional ultrasound imaging, which shows the layers of tissue that are being treated, ensuring the treatment energy is delivered to where it is most beneficial. This jump-starts the production of new collagen leading to a natural skin tightening and lifting effect.
Treat your skin well today and you will be forever grateful. The Millennials have caught onto this concept early by practicing “Pre-Juvenation” and getting ahead of the aging process. Most of us practice Rejuvenation with collagen-building and skin-tightening treatments.
If you are a Baby Boomer, then you are a part of the anti-aging movement. It is never too early or too late to look and feel your best. If you need a little help, have no fear, that’s what your dermatologist is for.
