People are very concerned about their appearance and how it projects to others. In fact, our society puts a very high premium on looks, especially for women. People want to feel that they look their best, and that's different for each person.

Whatever shape you are, or look you have, one thing we all have in common is that we want to look good. It helps to make us happy. When you look in the mirror you want to feel good about how you look. It gives you confidence to meet the day and the challenges you face. Looking good improves your mood, your outlook on life and sometimes even the way people treat you.

Every person knows there are things that bother them when they look in the mirror every morning. These things are important, if to no one else, they are important to you. Fortunately technology keeps advancing and bringing us new products and services that can help with those trouble areas – the things that bug us every day.

Below are just a few treatments you can have that may help improve your body and look.

Vanquish ME

This is a radio frequency device that has a large surface area for treatments. This makes it ideal to treat lower abdomen and the side of the hips all at once. The treatment is 45 minutes per session, treating once or twice weekly for a total of six sessions.

If treating twice weekly, treatments must be three days apart. The new Vanquish ME has been shown to rival liposuction in the amount of fat that it will resolve. It has also been shown to be more effective than its predecessor, the Vanquish.

Patients should be well hydrated and can not have any implanted metal or electronic devices in their bodies. There is minimal downtime consisting of occasional soreness or tenderness. Patients may continue to exercise. Results take several months.

SculpSure

This is a laser that targets the fat. Treatments are performed with up to four applicators at a time allowing a more targeted treatment. Treatments take 25 minutes and most people will have two spaced 6-8 weeks apart. Results are seen after 2-3 months. Downtime is similar to Vanquish. No restrictions on activity after treatment.

Kybella

This is an injectable treatment to destroy subcutaneous fat. FDA-approved for submental fat (double chin). Some are now using it off-label on the body. The treated area swells (usually for about a week). Most patients need multiple treatments, spaced two months apart. Most patients need 2-4 treatments.

Viora Reaction

This is a great treatment for cellulite and also helps to tighten skin. Need to treat 8-10 times. Skin is pink for about 20 minutes. No restrictions on activity afterward. Results also take 1-2 months to see.
