Smoother Skin Has Never Been Easier
Do you have acne scars or discolorations? Are you unhappy with the way your face has aged? Do you find yourself yearning for younger-looking skin?
There are a lot of great products available to help you with all these skin care concerns. One of the newest is called Eclipse MicroPen. This micro-needling device can help lessen or get rid of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, acne scars, age spots, sun damage, stretch marks, and hyper pigmentation.
This new technology utilizes automated micro-needling, also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT), a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for treating these conditions, and improving the overall appearance of your skin.
During this procedure, tiny needles create controlled micro-injuries to the skin. This is done to promote collagen and elastin production, a natural “repair” process. This repair process will result in an improved appearance of the skin, softer wrinkles, and less noticeable scarring. Additionally, automated micro-needling is often used with topical gels, creams, and serums, as it creates superficial micro-channels, which allow these treatments to have a stronger effect resulting in a smoother and softer epidermal layer.
The MicroPen uses vertical action on the skin. The vertical action is precise, which helps to achieve consistency and little discomfort. With its variable needle depth, your skin care professional is able to customize treatment for all skin types. It can be used on any part of the body face, neck, dcollet, arms, hands, legs, abdomen, and back.
The Procedure
Your certified skin care professional, in an appropriate treatment setting, applies a thin layer of topical gel to your skin. Next, drops of hyaluronic acid are applied to the skin, which will be infused into the skin with the pen. The pen, outfitted with a sterile needle tip (containing 12 tiny micro-needles) is then gently pressed to the skin. The pen glides smoothly over the skin until all the treatment area has been covered. It's a very easy and non-invasive procedure that results in thousands of micro-channels throughout the treatment area. And it's virtually painless. Patients describe the procedure as a mild sandpaper-like sensation. Best of all, the procedure itself typically only takes about 15-30 minutes. Afterwards, additional serums may be added to the skin for even better results.
After the procedure, patients may notice an immediate glow to their skin. Improvements will continue to develop over the course of several days and weeks, as collagen production continues. It's recommended that patients receive a series of 3-4 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart.
