Picosure Laser

The Picosure laser by Cynosure is another breakthrough technology now available. It fires 1,000 times faster than any other laser on the market. This has two very important applications.

Facial Resurfacing

It allows facial resurfacing without any redness. For many patients, this is the best laser for hyperpigmentation or melasma on your face, neck, decollete or hands.

Almost every woman over 35 years old will have irregular coloration on her face, neck, chest and hands. The Picosure laser can do an incredible job, restoring your skin to a uniform color. It can also help with fine lines and even acne scarring. Treatments result is little to no redness or just some mild pinkness that will go away in a few minutes, so you can return to work or play almost immediately.

It is safe for almost all skin types (skin types 1-4). This means it is safe for those from the Middle East, South America, Asia, etc. You should plan three treatments, each four weeks apart. You arrive 30 minutes before your treatment and apply a numbing cream. The treatment is painless and it only takes about 15 minutes to do your entire face.

Tattoo Removal

The Picosure laser is becoming one of the premier treatments for tattoo removal, frequently reducing the number of treatments required by half. It is the only laser that can effectively target the blue in tattoos.

The treatment begins with the application of a numbing cream 45-60 minutes before you come in. The treatments are very fast. You will require multiple sessions, spaced six weeks apart.

Black is the fastest color to go away. In some instances, a black tattoo can be completely removed is as few as three sessions, and there is no shadow left behind.
