Painless Non-Surgical Feminine Rejuvenation Has Arrived
It is difficult and embarrassing for many women to discuss how childbirth and aging has impacted their feminine regions. However, if directly questioned, a myriad of complaints may be heard, including
Atrophy of the vagina,
Vaginal laxity or looseness,
Stress urinary incontinence (peeing when you cough, laugh, or sneeze),
Decreased vaginal lubrication,
Orgasmic dysfunction,
Painful intercourse,
Discomfort with tight clothing,
Dissatisfaction with the appearance of the labia majora or minora (outer or inner lips of the vaginal area).
Until recently, non-surgical remedies to these common problems did not exist. Surgical treatments can only address some of these issues, but surgery involves some pain or discomfort as well as a recovery period. However, a new non-surgical treatment that has been shown to address many of these common issues has recently become available in the form of ThermiVa.
ThermiVa tightens lax, sagging tissues using radiofrequency technology. This energy is delivered through the skin using a wand-like device. During treatment, the energy gently heats the external and internal tissues, including the labia and vagina, causing these tissues to contract and prompting the deep layers of the skin to produce new collagen.
The treatment is not painful and no anesthetic is needed. Most patients feel only a mild, warm sensation as the wand is passed over the skin. Improvements can be noticed almost immediately, however some patients need a week or two to experience a difference. Results continue to improve over several weeks following treatment as the body produces new collagen in the vaginal tissues.
The typical treatment regimen is to have three treatments one month apart and then a yearly maintenance treatment.
The most difficult part of the treatment is recognizing there is a problem and scheduling an appointment to address your particular complaints.
During your initial consultation, a board certified plastic surgeon will talk to you about your particular concerns and determine if you are a good candidate for the treatment.
There is no longer a need to deal with functional or cosmetic issues with the female genital region. A painless non-surgical solution to a long list of common issues that bother so many women has arrived.
