New Skin Smoothing and Tightening Treatment
In the age of modern medicine, more and more people look for ways to improve their appearance. A big part of this is anti-aging techniques and technology that helps people look young and feel better. There are newer and better cosmetic procedures to add to the many choices already available. Furthermore, there are new ways to stay healthy from the inside out. One of the new technologies available is called ThermiTight.
What Is Thermitight?
ThermiTight is a new aesthetic procedure, which delivers controlled thermal energy under the skin to help reverse the effects of aging. It can be ideal for patients who want more results than non-invasive procedures can deliver, but also do not want surgery. It is great for problem areas of the face, neck, tummy and thighs. Clinical studies have shown it to be safe and effective.
How It Works
ThermiTight works via a tiny probe that is inserted under the skin. Then, radiofrequency energy is applied directly to the target tissues causing immediate shrinkage. Results are immediate and improve over time. It is a painless, micro-invasive procedure, which usually takes less than one hour, with little or no downtime.
What's The Downtime?
The procedure is performed using local anesthesia. Patients may experience slight swelling and redness, and are usually able to return to normal activity within 24 hours.
How Long Does It Last?
It is a single treatment solution which produces a three-dimensional improvement in the appearance of skin laxity. The effects have been shown to last several years.
Thermismooth – Non-Invasive Skin Smoothing
ThermiSmooth is performed using a specially designed Thermistor regulated hand piece, which is supplied with the ThermiRF system. ThermiSmooth delivers precise heating to the skin's surface. The treatments are gentle and patients often say it feels like receiving a warm massage.
ThermiSmooth Science
Clinical studies show that the collagen in skin will shrink when heated to a sustained temperatures in excess of 40C. Further, it has been shown that when the skin is heated to this level, an inflammatory process is engaged which can stimulate fibroblasts to produce new collagen over a period of time. Therefore, the challenge is to deliver precise amounts of heat, without risking overheating the tissues and causing patient discomfort.
How ThermiSmooth Works
After applying a small amount of coupling gel, the hand piece is applied to the skin's surface. The system is set to a specific target temperature. The hand piece is gently moved in a sweeping or circular fashion while gradually heating up the skin surface. As the skin's temperature rises to the targeted temperature, the computer automatically adjusts the energy output to ensure precision of heating. A small zone is treated for about five minutes to achieve the goal of sustained heating to the target tissues. Treatments are repeated several times to achieve the desired cosmetic result.
