Do Saggy Eyelids Make You Look Older Than You Are? A Non-surgical procedure could be the answer

Micropunch blephrotightening removes excess skin from upper eyelids and tightens the skin with laser treatments. This procedure corrects droopy upper lids, which can make you look older and more tired than you feel. This procedure won't, however, remove crow's feet or other wrinkles, eliminate dark circles under your eyes, or lift sagging eyebrows.

Best Candidates

The best candidates are men and women who are physically healthy, psychologically stable, and realistic in their expectations. Most candidates are 35 or older, but if droopy, baggy eyelids run in your family, you may decide to have eyelid surgery at a younger age.

Anesthesia

The surgery is performed under local anesthesia, which numbs only the upper eyelids.

The Procedure

Micropunch Blephrotightening takes 15-30 minutes, depending on the extent of the surgery. The Deka DOT laser is used on the upper eyelids followed by tiny micropunch excisions on the lateral and central areas of the upper eyelid skin. No sutures are required.

Getting Back To Normal

Most people feel ready to go out in public (and back to work) in 3-5 days. By then, depending on your rate of healing and your doctor's instructions, you'll probably be able to wear makeup to help conceal any bruising that may remain.

Your New Look

There is minimal, if any, scaring with this treatment. You will see only the positive results of your procedure a more alert and youthful look which will last for years. For many people, these results are permanent.

As with any cosmetic procedure, the most important element is to develop a trusting relationship with your doctor and feel comfortable with him or her. In choosing your doctor, it is important to look at not only their credentials and experience, but to also ensure the comfort level is there.
