Anti-Aging and Rejuvenation Create Beauty With Acupuncture

As people age, the tightness around the chin and neck area becomes loose causing the face to develop a double chin or a thicker neck. This is due to the loosened fat that is collected in these areas.

Causes and Types Of Wrinkles

Forehead wrinkles Forehead wrinkles develop from the stiffening of the frontalis muscle. Also, those who have a habit of always frowning and always lifting their brows can develop deep wrinkles on their forehead.

Glabellar frown lines (wrinkles between the eyes, above the nose bridge) These are caused by increased stress and being exposed to strong sunlight. These wrinkles can also form from squinting due to bad eyesight.

Crow's feet These wrinkles develop from smiling and laughing. Eliminating this type of wrinkle is difficult to do even with surgery.

Nasolabial folds (wrinkles around the mouth) When the elasticity level of the facial muscles falls and its muscles weaken, the facial fat expands and loosens causing the muscles next to the nose to droop all the way down to the corners of the mouth. This effect makes your lips to pout making you have an upset or disappointed appearance.

Marionette lines (wrinkles around the corners of the mouth) These develop from the facial muscles losing water and nutrition. Compared to the other wrinkles on the face, these wrinkles are very tiny and develop first because we use these muscles while talking, eating, etc. They develop as tiny wrinkles at first, but they become deeper and more noticeable over time due to the continuous usage of these muscles. Additionally, more toxins may collect in this area causing you to look a lot older than you really are.

Oriental Lifting
and Wrinkle Reduction

Cosmetic acupuncture can help reduce these aging effects by making the skin tone brighter and creating an improved impression without surgery. Additionally, facial pores can be made smaller. It can also help those with Bell's palsy, unbalanced faces, and facial and body scars.

One of the newer techniques for cosmetic acupuncture is the acupuncture facelift, which we refer to as oriental lifting. With oriental lifting, acupuncture is used to relax wrinkle lines causing you to look younger. This treatment can reduce crow's feet, as well as reduce droopy eyelids and bags under the eyes. Forehead wrinkles can be treated to lift the eyebrows and smooth out and create volume on the forehead. With this acupuncture treatment, a depressed looking face can be changed to look more vibrant and attractive. It can also improve blood circulation and assist in making more collagen in the facial skin.

An important aspect of oriental lifting is that it does not change the face dramatically to the point where family and friends cannot recognize you. Instead, it naturally enhances the face over time and the more treatments you have, the more effective the results.

Even though most people can see a difference after one treatment, the results vary depending on the person's age and their level of facial elasticity. For instance, results are very slow and less effective for those who have aged to their full potential and have lost the collagen in their facial tissues and muscles.
