Nisha R. Patel, MD

Nisha R. Patel, MD completed her Ophthalmology Residency at the University at Buffalo’s Ross Eye Institute. During her training, she founded the International Ophthalmology elective program and became the first resident to participate in a medical and surgical mission to Liberia, West Africa. She also received the ARVO Travel Grant for her research on high-intensity ultrasound exposure on ocular tissues conducted at Weill Cornell Medical College.

She went on to pursue a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where she gained advanced training in laser vision correction and dry eye management.

Since 2008, Dr. Patel has been in private practice, with two locations in Centreville and Vienna, Virginia. She specializes in refractive surgery, offering a full spectrum of vision correction procedures including laser vision correction, cataract surgery, laser floater treatment, and eyelid rejuvenation.

Dr. Patel serves on the Board of the Northern Virginia Academy of Ophthalmology and the Virginia Museum of Science. She is board-certified and remains committed to delivering advanced, patient-centered eye care.
