Hello, I’m Dr. Jennifer McEwan — a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and clinical director of Mount Vernon Family Therapy.
I enjoy providing psychotherapy for a broad range of clients including children, adolescents, and adults.
I work with individuals and families to help them identify needs and resources to overcome changing life circumstances and challenging life stages.
I’m a firm believer in the strength of families and relationships. As a therapist, my clinical interests include helping families reorganize themselves around the care of a family member facing a health crisis.
I specialize in working with clients diagnosed with eating disorders, including:
- Anorexia
- Bulimia
- Binge Eating Disorder
- ARFID
I have specialized training in Family Based Treatment (FBT) to treat children, teens and young adults diagnosed with Anorexia.
In additional to my practice at Mount Vernon Family Therapy, I also provide clinical supervision to Residents in Psychology as they work toward licensure.
I also enjoyed teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the American School of Professional Psychology in Arlington, Virginia, where I taught graduate classes in the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) program.
I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York in 2005.
