Danielle Baran, OD

Dr. Danielle Baran brings exceptional clinical expertise and a deeply personal commitment to patient care to her new practice, Ellicott City Vision. A Maryland native, Dr. Baran was born and raised in Annapolis and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, earning a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology & Physiology with a double major in Psychology. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, graduating with highest honors and earning induction into the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.

With extensive training in ocular disease, contact lenses, and pediatric care, Dr. Baran provides comprehensive, full-scope eye care with a meticulous and personalized approach. She has a special interest in myopia control and glaucoma management, helping patients protect and preserve their vision at every stage of life. Known for taking the time to truly listen and connect, she ensures each patient receives thoughtful, individualized care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

As co-founder of Ellicott City Vision, Dr. Baran is proud to serve families throughout Columbia, Ellicott City, and the greater Howard County community. The practice was created with a clear mission: to deliver advanced, compassionate eye care while treating every patient like family.

An active member of the American Optometric Association and the Maryland Optometric Association, Dr. Baran remains dedicated to staying at the forefront of her field. Outside the office, she enjoys music, the outdoors, and spending time with her husband and two children.
