Christina Prieto, Owner

Christina Prieto graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Business. After college, she worked with a cosmetic company developing a makeup and skin care line, where she went to labs and met with chemists to create a line that would enhance women’s natural beauty. She then worked for a national photography company as a lead makeup artist, helping to open the first glamour photo studio on the east coast. She then traveled, opening franchises around the country, before partnering with a salon owner to incorporate Hot Shots, the first hair photography studio in the area. She later created Christina Joseph Salon, named after her and her first born son.

The salon has been located in Millersville, MD for almost 30 years. Haircuts, coloring, balayage, Brazilian blow outs, hair extensions, wedding packages, spray tanning and their signature Hot Shots and Glamour Girl Birthday parties are among a few of the services offered.

She contributes her success on being blessed with amazing team members, loyal salon guests and great family support. Christina Joseph Salon is not just a hair salon, but a place where people can come in and feel just okay, and leave feeling awesome!

It’s how we make you feel. Obviously beauty is on the outside and that’s what we specialize in, however for us it’s about more. We want our guests to feel beautiful inside as well. We start by listening to our guests and really hearing what they want and truly caring about how they feel about how they look. Beauty starts from how someone feels about themselves. We want them to leave feeling the day is beautiful because they are in it!
