Brian P. Gallagher, MD

Dr. Gallagher is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in trauma, reconstruction, joint replacement, and sports injuries of the foot and ankle. He earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and completed medical school at Thomas Jefferson University. His residency and fellowship training took place at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, where he also worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

He treats a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including primary and revision ankle replacements and complex fractures such as tibial pilon, calcaneal, and talus fractures, as well as Achilles tendon injuries. Dr. Gallagher is a member of the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and serves on its Research Committee, staying at the forefront of national research.

He uses advanced techniques like patient-specific instrumentation for ankle arthroplasty and minimally invasive approaches for various procedures. Dr. Gallagher prioritizes keeping patients active and tailors treatments to their goals. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors with his family.
