Bethany Karwoski, MD

Bethany Karwoski, MD is a Board Certified Fellowship Trained Pediatric Surgeon who specializes in the care and treatment of children’s medical eye conditions. She graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington DC and completed a residency in Ophthalmology at New York University, NY. She finished her training with a specialization in pediatric ophthalmology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Karwoski served as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at George Washington University where she was responsible for training residents and fellows in clinical and surgical pediatric ophthalmology. She maintained a practice at Children’s National Medical Center before joining our practice in 2024.

Dr. Karwoski is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus as well as the Costenbader Society. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. She has received Top Doctor Award from Virginia Magazine.

Dr. Karwoski specializes in pediatric strabismus and surgery, amblyopia treatment, nasolacrimal duct obstruction treatment and retinopathy of prematurity. She is available in our Woodbridge office location by appointment or referral.
