Painful Sex or Vaginal Dryness? New Technology Provides Help
The National Institute of Health recently reported that there are an estimated 64 million postmenopausal women in the United States, and that as many as 32 million of these women may suffer from vaginal atrophy symptoms such as pain during intercourse, vaginal dryness, and/or vaginal irritation. Many more women may have complaints about unappealing labial appearance, or vaginal looseness. So, if you are experiencing any of these problems or issues, you're certainly not alone.
These symptoms not only hamper bedroom activities, but also negatively impact women's quality of life, affecting sexual relationships as well as emotional well-being and self esteem, and causing significant discomfort. Severe symptoms might even impact your clothing choice and exercise options.
Recent advances in technology now offer women a way to reduce or eliminate these symptoms, so no woman should feel that they have to suffer through these issues any longer. One relatively new treatment option is called ThermiVA, and it being used more and more due to its positive results in regards to vaginal rejuvenation, and the ease of its non-invasive approach.
What is ThermiVA?
ThermiVa is a non-surgical radio frequency procedure for vaginal and labial tightening. Both the internal and external tissues can be treated.
This is an excellent treatment for women who suffer from urogenital atrophy and/or laxity and complain of painful intercourse. Giving birth vaginally, aging and obesity are some contributing factors to this condition. Other reasons to get ThermiVA may include
If you have sexual dysfunction or problems reaching orgasm.
If you have urinary leakage (incontinence) when you laugh or cough.
If you feel that your vagina is dry and is not producing moisture like before.
If you simply don't like the way your labia look on the exterior.
If you have conditions such as vulvodynia, vestibulodynia , and vaginismus.
What is the procedure like?
The procedure is very comfortable and takes about 30 minutes. It is recommended to do three treatments about one month apart. There is no need for anesthesia.
There is no downtime with this procedure. Women report feeling tighter even after one treatment. After week two, you will notice an increase in vaginal moisture (the glands “regenerate”). Sexual activity can be resumed as normal. Improvement with incontinence is also noticed after the first treatment, in most patients.
The vulvovaginal tissues continue to tighten after each treatment. It actually makes quite a remarkable difference physically, sexually and psychologically.
