Liquid Facelift A Great Alternative To Surgery
Liquid facelift is the new “buzz” for anyone interested in turning back the clock on aging. Hylaronic acid fillers (Restylane, Juvaderm), calcium based fillers (Radiesse) and neuro-toxins (Botox, Dysport) are administered at the same visit for correction of lines, wrinkles, folds and creases.
This unique and non-surgical procedure is gaining popularity because it can usually be done in less than an hour, with minimal discomfort and little to no downtime.
When considering this procedure however, it is critical that you have the injections done by a doctor who has extensive experience in administering the proper fillers in the most beneficial areas. Each individual's unique facial features and musculature must be taken into consideration in the placement of fillers and the injection sites. This achieves the most natural look without an “over-done” result.
Liquid facelifts can correct crow's feet, forehead wrinkles, hollows under your eyes, and give volume to cheekbones and those dreaded “parenthesis” (technically termed naso-labial folds). The overall result can be a very youthful looking face. Your face will regain the fullness and firmness that you had in your youth and all of those creases and lines that “tell” your age can be gone, all in less than an hour.
As a contrast to the non-surgical “liquid facelift”, one can have a surgical “mini lift”. This type of surgical procedure can be performed to correct a tired, saggy appearance due to the stretching of the suspension ligaments of the face and jaw.
The normal fatty deposits under the skin can also begin to sag, resulting in jowls and/or a double chin. Sagging skin and ligaments of the face and jaw can be tightened, giving the face the youthful, healthy looking appearance that it once had. When it comes to a surgical facelift, less is often more.
A mini facelift is more conservative than a “traditional” facelift, which can be associated with prolonged recovery and swelling. A mini lift has a lower risk of complications, significantly decreased cost and in most cases, a much shorter recovery time. Often times the addition of fillers and/or neurotoxins can enhance and maximize the results by adding volume back to the cheekbones and minimizing finer lines and wrinkles.
Both of these procedures are safe and effective ways of reclaiming the youthful appearance that we all want to hold onto as long as possible. After all, when we look great we feel great.
