Heal Your Body With PRP A State Of The Art Non-Surgical Anti- Aging Therapy

Repair your joints, treat your hair loss, re-invigorate your sex life and rejuvenate your skin, with PRP Therapy.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is showing exciting potential for treating a myriad of issues which individuals suffer from today.

PRP may be used for the treatment of hair loss, sexual dysfunction (O Shot, P Shot), scar revision, acne scars, over-all skin rejuvenation, as well as orthopedic injuries joint injuries, rotator cuff tears, ligament injuries, sprains, tendonitis, and chronic plantar fasciitis.

How Does PRP Work?

The process involves drawing the patient's blood, separating the components by centrifugation and re-injecting the concentrated platelets at the desired site after activating it with calcium chloride/thrombin. The re-injected PRP contains and releases several growth factors and other cytokines that stimulate healing of tissue and bone.

The re-injected PRP also recruits stem cells to the site of injury. Since the treatment is harvested from the patient's own body, patients can see a marked improvement in their condition with considerably fewer side effects.

While the total number of injections required varies depending on the patient's age and the severity of the condition, some patients may require just one treatment session while others may need several spaced over a few weeks.

The body takes between two and three months to repair the tissue, but most patients notice an improvement in their condition much sooner.

Who Is a Good Candidate For PRP Treatment?

Since PRP uses components of the patient's own blood or platelets to inspire the body to heal from within, it has been used for many years to treat injuries in professional athletes i.e. the NFL, PGA and NBA. PRP treatment can also restore the skin's natural ability to produce collagen and heal, allowing for a younger, firmer and more youthful appearance. Patients with osteoarthritis of the knee, shoulder, hip and spine may also be good candidates for PRP treatment.

Please note that some patients may not be good candidates for PRP therapy.

Anyone with blood-borne cancer not in remission for at least five years, other blood-borne diseases or current infections, cerebral palsy or Parkinson's disease, or patients using a high dosage of Coumadin would be advised by their doctor not to undergo PRP therapy.
