360 Makeover – A New Approach To Looking Younger

Whats the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about aging? Most likely, its wrinkles. Wrinkles are certainly part of the aging process and older approaches to rejuvenation focused on removing them by surgically stretching your skin tight, inserting cheek and chin implants, and filling individual lines and wrinkles. Unfortunately, this caused scarring, significant down time and often made patients look done rather than younger. This old approach has been compared to stretching out a raisin and filling in all its creases only to find that it still looks the same.
Now, we understand that you must replace lost volume in your face if you want to look younger. New fillers restore your youthful facial contours and lift your face non-surgically. In doing so, they also improve wrinkles and lines. This new approach is akin to re-volumizing the raisin so that it is a grape again. This article is based on a series of lectures, accredited by the Millennium CME Institute, that I am presenting to plastic surgeons and dermatologists throughout the country, including Hollywood, on how to achieve the most natural, minimally invasive makeover.
As you lose volume from your face with age, you develop under-eye hollows, flattened eyebrows and cheeks, folds at the side of your mouth, thinner lips and jowls, and your nose appears longer. This makes you look tired, sad or devoid of energy even when you still feel young and vibrant inside. Many men and women seek cosmetic surgery to resolve this mismatch and to optimize their personal and professional success.
Volume replacement has been revolutionized by Perlane, the newest member of the Restylane family. Like Restylane, Perlane is a pure, biosynthetic form of the hyaluronic acid that naturally supports your skin. Perlane contains larger particles than Restylane and it is gently injected beneath the surface of the skin to re-contour your cheeks, lips and your lower face, and restore an elegant arch to your brows. Restylane is layered over Perlane to precisely fill in facial wrinkles and under-eye hollows. Other fillers such as Juvederm or your own natural fat may also be used when appropriate. Patients are delighted at how dramatically yet undetectably this lifts their faces, making them look decades younger. Patients are also amazed at how little bruising or recovery time there is; most can return to daily activities immediately.
A highly skilled and experienced cosmetic surgeon individualizes these advanced techniques to address your own unique pattern of aging, and understands how to combine these techniques with state-of-the-art laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) treatments to tighten your skin and remove sun spots, discolorations, veins, scars and other blemishes with little or no down time. Expert Botox treatment safely smoothes out your frown lines, worry lines, crows feet and neck wrinkles while preserving your natural facial expressions.
This new approach harnesses your bodys own abilities to rejuvenate itself, and the results may be longer-lasting than surgery. Recent studies show that Restylane treatments performed with a specialized technique stimulate your skin to permanently produce collagen. Similarly, maintenance Botox treatments re-train overactive muscles to give longer-lasting results.
Todays technology in the right hands empowers you to live life to the fullest at any age and to achieve a perfect balance between how you look and how you feel.
