Dr. James Baugh, MD, FAAP, has been with Virginia Pediatric Group for over 30 years, providing pediatric care in Fairfax and Herndon, VA. Born in New York and raised in San Marino, CA, he earned his BA in human biology from Stanford University and his Medical Degree from George Washington University in 1980. He completed his Pediatrics Residency at the William Beaumont Army Center in 1983.
Before joining Virginia Pediatric Group in 1989, Dr. Baugh served in the US Army and completed an Infectious Disease Fellowship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. His professional interests include, child development, infectious disease, and international adoption. He has receive numerous teaching awards and has worked in Haiti to promote pediatric education.
Dr. Baugh enjoys tennis, hiking, biking, and gardening and resides in Fairfax with his wife.
