Sumeet Gupta, MD

Sumeet Gupta, MD is a Board Certified Fellowship Trained Cataract and Glaucoma Surgeon. He graduated from University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, VA and completed a residency in Ophthalmology at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. There, he finished his training with a specialization in glaucoma and complex anterior segment surgery. He later joined the faculty at West Virginia University as an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology where he trained residents and fellows in clinical and surgical ophthalmology. He was named Ophthalmology Faculty of the Year before relocating to Northern Virginia in 2022.

Dr. Gupta is a member of the American Glaucoma Society and American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Gupta performs laser eye surgery, complex cataract surgery, and all forms of glaucoma surgery including minimally invasive procedures (MIGS). Dr. Gupta is available by appointment or referral at both our office locations.
