Getting Rid Of Midsection Fat
When Cortisol is left to flow rampant throughout your system it can be a bully and wreak havoc throughout your body, even though we need it to live. Cortisol is responsible for telling your body to store fat, for increasing your appetite, and for locking the fat around your midsection. It tells fat cells around your midsection to release fat for fuel so you have energy for fight or flight. Since most of us rarely fight for our lives, fat and sugar are not used up and fat accumulates around the abdomen.
Here are some tips for getting rid of belly fat.
Eat three main meals, but make them small. Eating every three hours so your body doesn’t think it’s starving, will reduce cortisol, boost metabolism, and stop
cravings.
Always eat a breakfast that includes some sort of protein.
Stay away from foods labeled low-fat, low-calorie, or diet.
Avoid starchy carbohydrates at dinner. Have a palm-sized portion of protein with two palm-sized portions of raw or cooked
vegetables.
No starchy carbohydrates after six in the evening.
Use high quality supplements. Supplements enable your body to control high levels of stress and balance blood sugar more effectively.
Use a combination of aerobic exercise and weight training. Choose an aerobic exercise you enjoy four times per week. Include two or three 30 min sessions of weight/resistance training per week. Do the weight training before the aerobics so your muscles are not tired before the workout.
Practice relaxation techniques. Losing belly fat depends largely on reducing levels of cortisol and adrenaline. Looking at your life to see what you can control and cannot control, learning to reframe thoughts and breathe effectively are perfect ways to bring the body to relaxation
