Preventing and Resolving Gum Inflammation
The good news is that gum inflammation is preventable and treatable. Maintaining a consistent oral hygiene routine that includes brushing twice a day, flossing daily using a mouth rinse, and visiting your dentist regularly for cleanings and check-ups is essential in preventing plaque buildup.
In addition, a balanced diet rich in vitamins C and D can promote healthy gums, while quitting smoking, vaping, smokeless tobacco use, and reducing stress can significantly reduce your risk of developing gum disease. If gum inflammation is already present, early intervention through professional cleanings and improved home care can reverse gingivitis and prevent further damage.
