Are You Unhappy With Your Smile?

Do you have chipped, broken or cracked teeth due to either injury or decay? Then you might be a candidate for a crown or a bridge.

A dental crown is an artificial, tooth-shaped “cap,” that is placed over a damaged tooth to restore its shape, size and strength.

When teeth are badly decayed, broken or cracked a crown is usually prescribed. They are almost always needed when a tooth has had root canal treatment. Crowns are often used to improve the strength or appearance of a tooth or teeth. They can also be placed on dental implants to replace missing teeth.

Crowns can be made of many different materials; they can be constructed of various metals, porcelain-fused-to-metal, all-resin, all ceramic or all porcelain and they can be either temporary or permanent.

However, with the new technologies available today, crowns can be made entirely from an extremely durable ceramic and porcelain amalgam which gives the wearer beautiful, long-lasting cosmetic results.

When one or more teeth are missing and there are healthy teeth on either side, we will prescribe a “bridge.” A bridge fills in the gap created by one or more missing teeth.

Bridges can restore your smile, your ability to properly chew and speak, maintain the shape of your face and distribute your bite evenly by replacing missing teeth and/or preventing remaining teeth from drifting out of position.

Bridges can be made from three types of material solid gold for reliable long wear, porcelain fused to a gold base for strength and beauty and durable metal-free porcelain for optimum cosmetic results. With proper care of your bridge, you will increase your overall health and be instilled with confidence for years to come.

Considering that you own your teeth for a lifetime, don't you owe it to yourself to take care of your smile, today?
